Four clubs will extend their seasons in a bid to become the final team to win promotion to League One in the 2024/25 League Two play-offs.
There were 13 goals in last season’s play-off semi-finals alone, eight of which were scored by Crawley Town as they thrashed MK Dons.
Crawley had finished in the lowest position of the teams involved but won the final against Crewe Alexandra, who had knocked out Doncaster Rovers – one of the teams to win automatic promotion this time around.

How do the EFL playoffs work?
The EFL play-offs are an annual series of matches to determine the final promotion places within each division of the EFL.
First introduced in 1987, the play-offs are used to separate the four teams that finish directly below the automatic promotion places in EFL divisions through a series of play-off matches.
In League Two, the team finishing fourth meets the team in seventh and the side coming fifth takes on the club in sixth in two-legged semi-finals.
The first leg is held at the home of the team that finished lowest, with the second hosted by the team who achieved the higher position.
The winner is decided on aggregate, advancing to a one-off game to decide who is promoted at Wembley Stadium. Away goals are not used.
