A British snooker player made a startling admission when he said he took his brother’s dead body out for a send-off at a pub.
Jimmy White, 61, who is an accomplished snooker player from England, revealed to TalkSport that in 1996, his brother, Martin died.
While out at a pub across from the funeral parlor commemorating his brother’s life, White said he wanted to see Martin one last time.
“We were all in shock and were in floods of tears for hours and hours,” White said. “All of a sudden I said I was going to see him again. A couple of them tried to stop me. I went over and there was a big padlock on a chain. I kicked this chain and the padlock fell off.”
Inside the funeral home, White said he was laughing and crying with his deceased brother, and at one point sat his body up.

“I said, ‘Let’s take him out.’ I took him to a couple of places for a drink, then to my brother’s house and took him back about 5 a.m. or 6 a.m. I put him back exactly how he was and tried to put the chain back,” White recalled. “About two days later the police came to arrest me for breaking and entering, but when I explained the story to them they said nothing had been stolen and if you go and apologize then everything should be fine.”
White conceded that his actions were “insane,” but he said he felt at the time it was the right thing to do.
White is currently competing to qualify in the World Snooker Championships. He is currently the 93rd-ranked snooker player in the world.
