PSG forward now favourite to win Ballon d’Or

Ousmane Dembele has been installed as the new favourite at the bookmakers to win the coveted Ballon d’Or prize for the best player in the world.

Dembele, 28, has had a stellar 2025 and capped it by helping PSG win the Champions League for the first time at the weekend.

Dembele did not score in the final but has been in deadly form since the turn of the year, scoring 22 goals including in the semi-final win at the Emirates.

The former Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund man has played wide for most of his career but has flourished in a more central role under Luis Enrique.

Now William Hill have cut his price for the annual award to 1/2, displacing former favourite and Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal.

PSG won the treble this season and the manner of their 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan final will help Dembele’s cause.

PSG are also in action in the upcoming Club World Cup – starting their campaign against Atletico Madrid on 15 June.

Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) – 11/4
