Preview for Paris Saint-Germain v Auxerre
Paris Saint-Germain head into tomorrow’s home game with Auxerre with their minds firmly on other matters.
Luis Enrique has granted seven of his star men the week off and the rest of his first-team squad three days’ rest and recuperation as they build towards two major finals later this month.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz have all been granted leave and will not be involved against Auxerre and it is highly unlikely Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue or Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will play either.
Luis Enrique has rotated his squad in recent weeks to balance Ligue 1 and Champions League commitments and it has paid off. The domestic title was wrapped up over a month ago while PSG have made smooth progress into the Champions League final and a clash with Inter Milan on May 31.
In between there is also the small matter of the Coupe de France final against Reims next weekend.
A treble would be a fitting end to what has been a remarkable season for PSG, who have captured attention with a fearless approach spearheaded by a lightning quick forward line with Dembele the centre piece.
The France international was named Ligue 1 Player of the Season last week with Doue taking home the young player gong and Luis Enrique confirmed as coach of the year.
Auxerre will arrive in the capital with nothing other than pride to play for.
They sit comfortably in mid table on what has been an impressive return to the top flight following promotion last term.

It will be a second-string side that takes the field for PSG with the star players held back for the more pressing assignments to come.
That’s not to say the names will be unrecognisable with the likes of Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaire-Emery, Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos all set to be involved.
Auxerre remain without long-term injury victims Lasso Coulibaly and Nathan Buayi-Kiala while Kevin Danois is a major doubt.
