Mariah Carey Embarrasses Son Moroccan During Twitch Livestream

  • Mariah Carey crashed 13-year-old son Moroccan’s Twitch livestream while he was playing video games with friends
  • One excited Twitch streamer commented, “Hey, Mrs. Carey!”
  • Seemingly embarrassed, Moroccan said, “Mom, they can see you. They’re saying, ‘Hi Mariah, I love you!’ Oh my God.”

Moroccan Cannon had a surprise guest stop by for a recent Twitch stream — his superstar mother, Mariah Carey.

On Thursday, April 3, Carey’s 13-year-old son was live on streaming platform Twitch for about 10 minutes playing video games with friends when his mom, 56, and his twin sister, Monroe, strolled into the room.

In the video, Moroccan (or “Rocky” as his mom and dad, Nick Cannon, call him) can be heard talking to the two off-camera before he cuts the audio and then comes back on to tell his audience: “Sorry chat, my mom is here.”

Playfully teasing, Rocky’s fellow streamers can then be heard chiming in to say, “Hey, Mrs. Carey!” and Monroe then walks into frame holding a dog.

“You wanna come here, mom?” Rocky then asked the “Fantasy” singer, who then popped her head into view, standing over his shoulder.

“Okay, y’all need to get out now. Just, everybody get out,” Rocky then told his mother and sister, seemingly embarrassed. “Mom, they can see you. They’re saying, ‘Hi Mariah, I love you!’ Oh my God.”

“Hi, you guys!” Carey told the audience. “I love you too.”

The teen then lovingly rescinded his invitation and requested that Monroe and his mom to leave the room, asking: “Can y’all please get out, please? Love you. Get out of my room!”

Both Carey and Cannon — who were married from 2008 to 2014 — have been candid about just how close they are with their children.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in December, Carey opened up about how her twins have been joining her onstage to perform during her Christmas tour.

“I think they’re both very talented and smart, and if they want to pursue having a life as an entertainer, then I think they should,” she said. “It’s a hard kind of life, but they seem to really love performing, so I’m happy for them.”

The twins also appeared in one of their father’s YouTube videos in January, helping the Wild ‘n Out host, 44, give a 30-minute video tour of his estate. The trio showed off the sprawling house, which includes “13 bathrooms,” a ball pit, a library with a large Martin Luther King Jr. Bearbrick on display, a Louis Vuitton Iron Man helmet and a massive slide.

At one point in the tour, Cannon and Monroe passed a guitar in the house, and the proud dad told the camera: “I’m teaching my daughter how to play guitar,” to which Roe replied, “I already know.”

In April 2023, Cannon talked about his relationship with Moroccan and Monroe on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, telling the host that his eldest twins are “so intelligent” and “in tune with their own values.”

“It’s my first time having 12-year-olds, and I have a set of them! And we’re having real conversations,” the father of 12 said. “Because, you know, their lives are far from normal. Their mom is one of the biggest entertainers to ever live and their dad is me.”
