Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has signed a new contract with the club until 2031.
The 17-year-old will now remain at the Catlan giants until he is at least 23, with a €1billion release clause also being inserted into his deal.
Yamal has already made 106 appearances for the club, scoring 25 goals and adding 34 assists.
He has played a crucial role in helping Barcelona return to the top of the chain in Spain under Hansi Flick.
The Blaugrana beat rivals Real Madrid to the LaLiga title this term, dominating the division and scoring 102 goals in 2024-25.
They also made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League, only to be thwarted by finalists Inter Milan.
Barcelona have been on a mission to secure Yamal’s signature for many years to come.
The Spanish giants are also set to hand him Lionel Messi’s iconic No.10 shirt when Ansu Fati departs this summer.
Yamal had been linked with a move away from the club where he graduated as an academy player.
Paris Saint-Germain were heavily interested in him but any potential doubts over his future have now been put completely to bed.
The teenager is now a two-time LaLiga champion, as well as a European champion with Spain.
He still has a lot to live up to after being constantly compared to Messi, but has now comitted his future to the club where the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner shone for so many years.
Under Hansi Flick this term, Yamal scored 18 goals and laid on 25 assists in 55 games.
