So they remain happily engaged, as well as in business, having formed production company Nevermind Pictures with Meyer’s BFF (and former roommate before she moved in with Stewart in 2021) Maggie McLean.
Nevermind’s first project was The Chronology of Water, directed by Stewart in Latvia last summer, and Meyer will be making her feature directorial debut with The Wrong Girls, which she also wrote, starring Stewart and Seth Rogan. “Took 13 years to get here but this is in fact the coolest day of my freakin’ life,” Meyer, 37, captioned her Instagram post sharing the Feb. 19 announcement.
While Stewart does have a private Instagram, Meyer is the only one publicly showing the occasional highlight of their life together, which in addition to their moviemaking venture involves a tight-knit circle of friends, a dog, a cat—”Happy valentines to my #1 crush, the hottest cat mom in the game. I am just so, so into you,” Meyer wrote to Stewart in 2024—and all sorts of good times playing pool, traveling and making art.Â
Addressing their leisurely engagement, Stewart told Rolling Stone last year, “We just are busy trying to make movies because they’re our babies.”
