Kelvin Banks Jr.’s Infant Son Vomits on Live TV After He’s Drafted

Kelvin Banks Jr.’s son Khalil could not contain his excitement when his father was drafted.

The Texas Longhorns offensive tackle, 21, was the No. 9 pick at the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday, April 24, when he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints. In an emotional moment, his family celebrated the joyful occasion and were seen jumping and hugging one another.

Only a moment later, however, Khalil — who is only a couple of months old, according to Sports Illustrated — vomited during the live broadcast. The relatable parenting moment then went viral online after it was caught on the SEC Network’s broadcast and shared to X.

A number of X users reposted the video with their own comedic captions. “We just had a baby throw up during the NFL Draft,” a user named Troy Machir wrote.

Another joked, “Kelvin Banks the 3rd thinks the #saints isn’t a good fit.”

Banks Jr. and his partner, Demetria Bolden, announced her pregnancy with their son in November 2024, per Sports Illustrated.

Khalil had plenty to be excited about. Prior to the draft, Banks Jr. already led a career brimming with accolades. Last season, he won the Lombardi Award for college football’s best lineman. He also earned a unanimous All-American nod and the 2024 Outland Trophy as the best interior lineman. Across three seasons at the University of Texas, he started in 42 games.
