Jeff Goldblum Caught Reviewing His Red Carpet Pics Inside the Oscars

Even the wonderful Wizard of Oz needs a fit check at the Oscars!

Jeff Goldblum stayed true to his delightful self on Sunday, March 2 while attending the 2025 Academy Awards alongside his wife, Emilie Livingston

The Wicked star, 72, was celebrating the success of his blockbuster musical hit, which received 11 nominations and two wins during the show.

Goldblum kept the mood on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre light, posing up a storm in a Prada ivory wool jacket, black wool trousers, multicolored jacquard shirt, black satin bowtie and a lilac crepe de chine scarf, which he paired with black patent leather lace-ups. He also fastened a boutonniere with live purple orchids to his lapel.

And while he looked confident on the red carpet, Goldblum clearly had to check that the ensemble was… popular, because he was photographed inside the Dolby Theatre looking at red carpet photos of his fit while sitting in the audience.

Goldblum wasn’t only interested in his personal fashion choices. He also was photographed showing Livingston a photograph of his costar Ariana Grande’s Schiaparelli custom haute couture by Daniel Roseberry bustier dress in pink satin duchess and nude tulle, dusted in more than 190,000 crystal sequins, rhinestones and cut beads.

Goldblum and Grande embraced on the red carpet before the actress opened the Oscars with a moving performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz, before her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo transitioned into “Home” from The Wiz and they closed out the medley with their “Defying Gravity” duet.

As Wicked fans prepare to return to Oz in November, Goldblum teased the upcoming sequel, Wicked: For Good while on the red carpet at the Oscars.

“Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Elphaba and Glinda, oh my gosh, will further thrill you and chill you and devastate you, yes,” Goldblum said on the red carpet.

“I don’t want to be a tattletale or a spoiler,” he told ABC’s On the Red Carpet when asked to tease details about the upcoming installment, which will be released on Nov. 21, 2025. “Well, I do something in it. I may be tuneful.”

The film is set to cover the plot of the second act of the hit Broadway musical after Part 1 ended on Erivo’s Elphaba flying off to fight the Wizard and save the animals, leaving Grande’s Glinda behind.

Wicked: Part 1 took home the Best Production Design and Best Costume Design Oscars during Sunday’s show, but lost out to Best Picture winner, Anora, which was the standout winner of the night with five major wins.
