The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card‘s (see rates and fees) 100,000-point “offer of the year,” as many are calling it, is now officially in its “ending soon” phase.
We knew a deal this good wouldn’t last forever, but since it only just launched in early April, the end may be coming sooner than some expected.
Ending soon: Earn 100,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening with this limited-time offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
The current limited-time offer of 100,000 super-valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points is big news, as it’s an impressive 40,000 points higher than the usual 60,000-point offer.
Only one other time in history has the bonus gone as high as 100,000 points … and that was four long years ago in 2021.
We really love these points, as you can use them as $1,250 in travel via the Chase Travel℠ portal to quickly and easily book your flights and hotels in a similar way to how you would on Expedia.
You can also choose to transfer them 1:1 to programs such as United MileagePlus, World of Hyatt, British Airways Club and Air Canada Aeroplan, among others. By doing so, you can extend their value even further and redeem them for several nights in high-end Hyatt resorts, a lie-flat business-class seat to Europe or multiple short flights and hotel nights.
To put numbers to it, based on TPG’s April 2025 valuations, 100,000 Chase points are worth over $2,000, which is exceptional value from a card with just a $95 annual fee.
But enough about all that. The question of the day is: What does it mean when Chase says that the 100,000-point Sapphire Preferred offer is “ending soon?”

When will the Chase Sapphire Preferred 100,000-point offer end?
The short answer is: Only Chase knows for sure when the Chase Sapphire Preferred‘s limited-time offer will end, but we can look back at its welcome offer history to see what “ending soon” has meant in the past.
From May to June 2024, the Chase Sapphire Preferred had an increased bonus of 75,000 points after hitting the spending requirement, and from October to November 2024, Chase ran a bonus of 60,000 points with a $300 statement credit to use on the Chase Travel site (these offers are no longer available).
See, told you the 100,000-point version was rare.
While things can always change, looking back at our emails and stories from then, it seems that it typically takes one to two weeks from when the “ending soon” warning messages begin to get to when the limited-time offers officially end.
So, if that pattern holds, then we could potentially say goodbye to this outstanding 100,000-point offer, which is higher than anything we’ve seen on this card in the last four years, no later than mid-May.
Of course, TPG will keep you in the loop as we learn more specifics, but for now, that’s what we have to share about when the Chase Sapphire Preferred offer will end.
We don’t want you to accidentally miss out on this card that we’ve recommended for over 15 years.
