This popular Florida Hilton resort with big rooms just got a makeover and a new name

Hilton fans have a shiny new reason to visit Florida. The former Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort has undergone a redefining transformation, and acquired a new name to go with it: Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort.

Changes to the all-suite resort start in the lobby, where coastal colors — think soft blues and creams, like the sand and the sea — set the scene for the entire resort. A new lobby lounge called Barto also offers a cocktail happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. every day, with lychee martinis and mai tais on offer for the sweet, sweet price of $10. Snacks like tuna tostadas and pork belly banh mi are also available to round out the experience.

One thing that has stayed the same is that all 375 suites at the resort still offer ample space to spread out, as well as homey kitchens or kitchenettes, separate sleeping and living areas, and ample ocean views.

But these suites have all been reimagined with airy interiors, crisp white tones and smart wood accents, along with breathtaking seascapes viewable from any number of floor-to-ceiling windows around the accommodations, which come in a number of configurations.

For the most luxurious experience at the resort, guests can check into the penthouse suite, redesigned by ID & Design International, featuring three bedrooms, an 845-square-foot balcony and room for up to eight guests.

Beyond Barto, the lobby bar, guests can also enjoy a number of food and drink experiences. On the 26th floor, Nube (from The Restaurant People) has small plates such as Wagyu dumplings and short rib empanadas, served with a side of ocean views, creative cocktails, DJ sets and the South Florida party spirit.

There’s also S3: Sun, Surf & Sand, a popular restaurant offering sushi and an Omakase experience; Ilios, a poolside spot for breakfast and lunch; and the oceanfront Le Marche Gourmet Market for grab-and-go options and gelato.

At the resort, guests can hit the Q Spa for a facial or massage, spend time relaxing at the pool deck, enjoy a sunrise yoga class or even have a personal trainer assist with the perfect workout.

How to book: Cash rates at Beach House Fort Lauderdale can be found as low as $243 per night. Hilton Honors members can book from 75,000 points per night.
