No, it wasn’t déjà vu: Beyoncé’s daughters took the stage and made the crowd do a double take.
The Cowboy Carter tour officially kicked off on April 28 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles—and the show was filled with surprises. Indeed, some of the best appearances included none other than Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughters Blue Ivy Carter, 13, and Rumi Carter, 7.
No stranger to the stage, Blue danced alongside her mother in a matching gold, shimmering outfit for “America Has a Problem,” where the teen took center stage and shined during her very own dance break.
Meanwhile, younger sister Rumi made her tour debut with the singer—who is also mom to Sir Carter, 7—and sister for “Protector.” As seen in videos shared to social media, Rumi stood in front of her mom while she wrapped her arms around her.
As for Beyoncé’s reaction? She became overcome with emotion as Rumi waved to the crowd before she turned around and hugged her mom, who stopped mid-song to say, “Beautiful job.”
And after grabbing her older sister’s hand to be led off the stage, Rumi turned around and gave the crowd one final smile and wave.
