Newcastle assistant manager Jason Tindall says the club are relishing a return to the Champions League after he masterminded a superb 5-0 win at home to Crystal Palace that lifts the Magpies up to third in the Premier League table.
With manager Eddie Howe continuing his recovery from pneumonia, United put on a superb display that started with in-form Jacob Murphy firing in a cross/shot at the near post.
Eberechi Eze saw a penalty for Palace saved by Nick Pope and Newcastle were ruthless from there on in.

Harvey Barnes, Fabian Schar and Alexander Isak also scored for Newcastle, as the visitors’ night was compounded by an own goal from defender Marc Guehi
Tindall said: “Everybody in the Premier League wants to be in the Champions League.
“We’ve experienced it before and we want more of it. We’ve got six cup finals now remaining and we have to stay focused to be able to go out there and deliver the performances we know will help us to get Champions League.
“We’re confident, we’ve had a good run of results and we have to remain level headed and work hard every day to go out and deliver performances.”
A place in the Champions League looks a good bet for the Magpies who are five points ahead of Chelsea in sixth.
“They have been magnificent.” 👏

After winning the Carabao Cup, it is promising to be a memorable year for those in black and white.
“That trophy gave us huge confidence, we went out and deliverred a performance against arguably one of the best teams in Europe in Liverpool,” Tindall added.
“We were able to enjoy that for a period of time but we knew what our objectives were for the remainder of the season – to finish as high up the league table as possible. The manager always leads and sets that example of never switching off. They’ve gone out there, been really consistent and delivering performances.
“I think at a time like this the most important thing is your health, that you rest and recover. We wish Eddie all the best and the more he can rest the sooner he’ll be back.”
