Real Madrid star Luka Modric is reportedly set to become a minority owner of Championship club Swansea City.
Modric, 39, is thought to be buying a small stake in Swansea and joining the existing owners, currently led by chairman Andy Coleman.
Coleman oversaw a change to the Swans’ ownership structure in November last year that saw Brett Cravatt, Nigel Morris and Jason Cohen join the group having injected more than £20million into the club.
It has now been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Modric will also buy his way in as he looks to life beyond playing.

The Croatia star remains a valuable member of the squad at the Santiago Bernabeu and it is expected he will sign another rolling 12-month deal that will extend his stay at Madrid into a 14th year.
World Cup the target for Modric
Modric retains the ambition of captaining Croatia at next summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico before hanging up his boots.
Swansea are 12th in the Championship table and in a good run of form under caretaker boss Alan Sheehan.
Saturday’s 1-0 win at Sunderland was their third the trot, and followed an excellent 2-2 draw Leeds on March 29.
Sheehan took over in February following the sacking of Luke Williams.
