John Krasinski is ready to pass the PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive torch to the next lucky leading man.
At the Monday, May 19, premiere of Apple TV+’s Fountain of Youth, held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, Krasinski, 45, opened up to PEOPLE exclusively about his advice for the next Sexiest Man Alive.
“Buckle up. It is a hard crown to wear, but you’ll be all right. Just stay focused. Take a deep breath, you’ll get through it,” Krasinski tells PEOPLE exclusively. The actor was PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive cover star.
Krasinski also opened up about his children’s newfound friendship with Fountain of Youth director Guy Ritchie.
“Who’s not obsessed with Guy? I don’t know. I mean, he’s got a heck of an accent,” Krasinski tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The actor continued, “He’s so gregarious. He’s got the best vibe. He’s the nicest, sweetest, calmest person, and he talks to them like adults, and so he wasn’t talking to them like kids. He was asking ’em what they wanted to eat and did they want him to cook for them and all that stuff, and they just thought they were in the movie. I think they thought this was their big break.”
Krasinski shares daughters Hazel, 11, and Violet, 8, with wife Emily Blunt.
The Office alum then elaborated on his experience working with Ritchie, 56.
“I mean, for me, I would do anything for Guy. I would’ve been a waiter in his movie. So to have him ask me to be the lead in the movie with Natalie Portman, I was like, it’s the easiest yes I’ve ever given,” Krasinski said.
Fountain of Youth follows two estranged siblings coming together to use their historical knowledge to find the mythical Fountain of Youth. Krasinski stars opposite Natalie Portman, Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Stanley Tucci and more. The film will be released on May 23, 2025.
